American Scrap Artist

I'm a professional designer/illustrator living in Norfolk, Virginia, currently making artwork out of found objects. Seems like I go through creative periods that last around 10 years or so, during which I work fairly exclusively in one medium. First, it was pastels, then blockprinting, and now, this "junk" phase, which began around 2009.

Peewee Russell (sold)

Found object assemblage / $400

I found all this crazy stuff during a visit to Delaware, when I ventured off the highway, in the middle of nowhere, and discovered my El Dorado – a dumping ground of rusting artifacts… a child’s ironing board, saw blades and auto parts. Peewee Russell was an incredible jazz clarinetist.
