When I was a little boy, growing up in Phoenix, my mother was constantly in motion. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, washing, ironing, gardening, making the beds… and I remember her humming the popular tunes of the day as she worked. When I hear something from “South Pacific,” “Camelot” or “The King and I,” I’m transported back to her domestic whirlwind. She was, and still is, a beautiful, intelligent, funny and remarkable woman. Happy Mother’s Day! I love you!
