Plague of the Debt
Torn paper collage and pastel | 24X36″ | July, 2011
PowerLine.com, a conservative blog, sponsored a non-partisan contest in search of creative interpretations of the national debt crisis. It was open to all different media, from graphic art to song writing to video to whatever.
First place: $100,000; second: $15,000; and two third place awards of $5,000.
My entry finished outside the top ten, but I’m happy it was given a shout-out on the site. I bitch constantly about this topic, and jumped at the chance to interpret my feelings about it.
