Woody Branches Out, 2.5.12

“Woody Branches Out,” Found objects, Feb. 5, 2012, 14X39″

This piece, made with a donated clarinet, will be auctioned off in April during the Sea Level Festival in Norfolk, to benefit Tidewater Arts Outreach, a local charity that makes it possible for people to hear live music who might otherwise not be able to.

The spoon was found at Chenman’s scrap metal yard, his hands and vest are made from an aluminum sign fragment, and his limbs are crepe myrtle.

I wanted to show this formal looking musician enjoying playing some rustic music!

Update: Woody sold at auction for $650!
