Still Dangerous, 3.13.12
Found object assemblage | 24X43″ | $500
A bruised and battered pugilist is almost out on his feet, but as fight fans will tell you, even a badly hurt boxer is still dangerous.
The gray pail was found on the railroad tracks near 460 a couple years ago, the rake, shovel, rear-view mirror, arms and trunks were scrap yard finds and the gloves (Prince Albert can and an alarm clock back) came from an Arizona ghost town. The cool Pfeiffer label (and his rivet nipples): donated by my wonderful friend, Roy, who found it while relic hunting near Suffolk, Va. I googled the company and discovered they were makers of butcher supplies and linoleum flooring. It’s funny how things work out … This is wired and ready to hang.
