Sax Solo, 6.13.12
Scrap art | 18X26″ | $300
This was originally titled, “Jazzbot,” but I never liked his little castor feet, his hat, his eye… so, I redid it.
The body is a key box from the scrap yard, where I also found the sax and his arm, cheek and hair.
His eye is a typewriter bell, wrapped in some ghost town relics – the left foot is a license plate fragment.
The curtain is made of ceiling tin and it’s all screwed and glued onto an oven tray which I painted in red enamel.
Wire and ready to hang.
