“Lying in State” | 25X30″ and “Snowmelt” | 20X24″
A couple months ago, I scored some scrapped signs from a local business’s trash – hand painted on plywood – in pretty rough shape.
They were beautiful, and I wasn’t really sure what to do with them until a friend offered me the two old gesso frames from her attic.
I cut the two you see here, pretty much at random, to fit each frame. I think the compositions are beautiful… “Lying” appeared to be Pinocchio’s supine profile, and “Snowmelt” looked like a mountain stream.
