“Starfall” – Scrap art – (Dimensions to come)
I’ve always been fascinated by apocryphal tales of Cosmonauts who knowingly sacrificed their lives to land on the moon, knowing that they had no chance of returning to Earth.
The beautiful gesso frame was donated to me years ago by a dear friend. The Spaceman’s tunic is a flattened brass spittoon. The background is a remnant of the outdoor business sign. The circuit board reminded me of the technological advances we’ve made in such a short time – and their limits.
